Boro kick-off the new season on 13th August with a home game against European Champions Liverpool, followed by trips to Tottenham and Birmingham. The month ends with a home game against Charlton.
Into September, following a break for internationals Boro play at home to Arsenal then away to Premiership newcomers Wigan. Finally the old enemy Sunderland visit the Riverside.
October starts with atrip to Aston Villa, then following another free week for internationals Portsmouth visit the Riverside. The final two games of the month are a trip to West Ham and a home game against Manchester United.
More internationals interupt the month of November following Boro's trip to Everton. The month concludes with back-to-back home games against Fulham and West Brom.
December is a busy month as Boro visit Chelsea and Liverpool, before a home game against Tottenham takes us up to Christmas. The festive programme is busy with four games in eight days. Boro host Blackburn on Boxing Day, take a trip to Bolton, then return to the Riverside for a New Years Eve clash with Manchester City.
The New Year is brought in with a trip to Newcastle, then following FA Cup games Boro travel to Arsenal. Wigan are the only visitirs to the Riverside in January, as Boro finish the month up the A19 at Sunderland.
Aston Villa and Chelsea are visitors to the Riverside in February, before the FA Cup takes precedence, with a trip to West Brom ending the month.
In March Boro entertain Birmingham at the Riverside and make trips to Charlton and Blackburn, before returning to the Riverside for the visit of Bolton.
Into April and the season is drawing to a close, Boro visit Manchester City before a home game against Newcastle. Then the long trip to Portsmouth is followed by another home game against West Ham. Boro next visit Mancester United, then wrap up the month with Everton the visitors at the Riverside.
Just one game in May, as the season is concluded on Sunday 7th at Fulham.
