After agreeing a fee with Man. United for the unsettled striker Yorke failed to accept Boro's offer, he was alledgedly holding out for £57,000 a week.
Boro's offer was presumably some way short of Yorke's expectations, so he will continue to see out the last eighteen months of his contract at Old Trafford.
Boro's search for a new striker will continue, although the three points at the Stadium of Shite has eased Boro's relegation worries slightly.
