The 22-year-old Australia international ended a 10-month absence with a substitute's appearance at Reading on March 5, and has started the club's last two games after finally shaking off the pelvic injury which cost him his dream of playing at last summer's World Cup finals.
He told the club's official website: "It's been like a horror film. I have had ups and downs, plenty of them, but I'm back now and keeping myself fit.
"I waited for the day when I could come back, and it was special when I did. I draw strength from getting through those dark days.
"People have said some nice things about the way I have played since I came back. It's nice when people acknowledge how you play and I'm buzzing for it.
"I'm not going to play all 10 games that are left because of my injury management. But I would like to play in as many as I can, then come back and give it a right good go next season."
