"It was flat after the game. Everyone was hurting because we all knew it had been a poor display and that we had let the fans down.
"We had good spells when we looked good going forward and created a lot of chances and we have to try and take some positives from that. We are still creating.
"Afonso hit the post and then we had one ruled out for offside and we scored a good goal, so I thought we were well in the game in the first half.
"And we had a couple of chances to level it in the second half, especially when Afonso got it in the box - but it just doesn't seem to be going for us up front and that has been the story of the season for us.
"I know things look bad now but we are still in it. We need to be tough and strong and fight for each other and we need to bounce back in the next two home games.
"We have done quite well at the Riverside the last few months and that is a platform for us. If we can beat Hull - and I think we can - then we are right back in it."
