The big Aussie, who captained the side during the World Cup was contemplating retiring from international football to concentrate on his club career.

He has now come to an agreement with the Socceroos caretaker coach that he will miss the forthcoming Asian Cup qualifiers, so that he can be with his pregnant wife.

Following the birth he will make himself available again for the national side.
