Up for the record. . .

Can you remember what it was like to score a goal away from home, for those who travel around the country it has been a pitiful embarrassment.

Not since Joseph-Desire Job netted Boro's third goal at White Hart Lane in the 58th minute have Boro scored. That was on 28th September, four whole months and more than 8 full games ago.

Should Boro fail to score before the 55 minute mark they will break the record set by Sheffield United, back in the 1993-94 season, who went 807 minutes without scoring, almost 9 full games.

Boro have now clocked up 752 minutes without a goal on their travels and are in second place on the all time list, behind Sheffield United, and ahead of West ham who went 716 minutes without an away goal in the 1999-00 season.

After Liverpool's surprise defeat last night against Crystal Palace in the FA Cup Boro will feel they have a great chance of getting a result. With our new signings raring to go it promises to be an interesting game.
