The TV listings for next weeks UEFA Cup first round games do not include Boro.
Everton have been chosen by ITV2 for their game in Bucharest which kicks off at 7.45pm (BST). Bolton will be shown by Channel Five in their first European encounter againt Loko Plovdiv, kick-off 8.10pm.
That means Boro fans will have to buy a ticket and go to the game instead of sitting in the comfort of their own home (or pub). Unless, of course, Tyne-Tees decide to show the only North East side in europe, in a 'footy special'. Dream on.
There maybe better news for the fans who cannot make the trip to Greece, for the second leg, two weeks later. With Everton presumably set up with ITV2, it leaves Boro and Bolton for Channel Five.
Bolton's game against Loko Plovdiv in Burgas is scheduled to kick-off at 3.55pm (BST), while Boro's game against Xanthi is scheduled to kick-off three hours later, at 7pm (BST).
So we may see a double header similar to last years group games, when Boro and Newcastle were both in action in Athens. The Boro game against Egaleo kicked off at 5.15pm (BST) and the Newcastle game kicked off at 7.30pm (BST) against Panionios.
The second leg listings are pure speculation on my part and all the scheduled kick-offs are subject to change.
