After a superb victory last night Boro were confirmed as one of the top seeds in tomorrows draw and will play a third-ranked team from the qualifying groups.
To date only three teams are in the hat to be drawn against Boro, the matches to determine the remaining teams take place tonight. The teams that have qualified as third-ranked teams so far are Aachen (Germany), Heerenveen (Holland) and Grazer AK (Austria).
Boro’s opponents last night, Partizan Belgrade, have also qualified as a third-ranked team but cannot be drawn against Boro in the Round of 32, however they could be drawn against us in subsequent rounds.
The draw for the Round of 32 (first knock-out round) and the Round of 16 (second knockout-round) takes place at 13.45 CET (12.45 GMT) at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland. It will follow the draw for the Champions League knock-out stage which is scheduled to start at 12.00 CET (11.00 GMT). Both draws will be broadcast live on Eurosport and on UEFA.com.
In the Round of 32, teams from the same association will be kept apart, likewise teams from the same qualifying group will be kept apart. There is no such seeding in the Round of 16 and beyond.
Teams finishing first and second in the qualifying groups have the advantage of playing the first leg away from home. The scheduled dates for the Round of 32 are 16th & 24th February, while the Round of 16 is scheduled for 10th & 17th March.
