The 6ft 5ins keeper joins Boro for a nominal fee, as a replacement for Mark Crossley who joined Fulham yesterday.
He has previously played for Crystal Palace and Stockport County but has been unable to win a regular place in the City side behind Peter Schmeichel, Nicky Weaver and now David Seaman.
Meanwhile Fulham have announced that they have accepted offers from Boro and Everton for the services of Sean Davies.
Both clubs will be given permission to talk to the U-21 international once a replacement has been aquired. This could possibly be Sunderland's Claudio Reyna if the two clubs can agree a fee.
And finally. . . Boro are still being linked with Lazio's Gaizka Mendieta, although the likely hood of both Davies and Mendieta signing would appear slim, one or the other would be more probable.
