Yes it was a shocking defeat, and a shocking performance, but he seemed to get himself inside a bear pit by trying to ridicule the reporters.
He was answering questions with questions and at one point he belittled one of the reporters in a way that shocked everyone.
I sense the pressure is on him already. Strachan doesn't like being questioned, but speaking to the press is part and parcel of the modern game. You can give away as little or as much as you want, but you must be responsive and you should speak to people in the right manner.
He totally lost it ... and the respect from the reporters. Once you get into a war with the media you pile pressure on yourself. They are there to be used ... not abused ... and he could have made a rod for his back.
