But what about this "romantic meal for three" that Gordon Strachan spoke off ... following a mega bust up between him and the Irish international?
Gordon Strachan: “Sean’s a good lad, good to work with, pleasant company.
“My wife, myself and Sean had a nice romantic meal for three about 10 days ago and had good fun. I don’t think I would be having a meal with him, laughing and joking if we didn’t get on.
“If anybody doesn’t want to stay at the football club then you’d have to be interested in what they’ve got to say but I think someone said a ‘bust-up’ and ‘raised voices’ and things like that and I don’t think I’ve raised my voice to Sean since I’ve been at the club.”
Sean St Ledger’s hopes of moving to Celtic hit another stumbling block because he has played for both Preston and Middlesbrough this season, seemingly ruling him out under Fifa rules which state a player can only play official matches for two clubs per season.
