Gareth Southgate has confirmed that he is determined to revamp the whole squad.
It means that players with experience of previous promotion campaigns will be brought in, and we can expect to see the average age of the side increase.
Southgate: "We are going to have to make changes.
"It would be naive to go into the new campaign with what we had last season and think that will be enough.
"There will obviously be players moving on and new players coming in. But there's got to be a hunger about our whole approach.
"It's easy to focus the mind because we've got an obvious target.
"Previously we were just trying to finish in a particular position or avoid finishing lower than mid-table.
"When you're mid-table, losing games doesn't have the same impact, but we are going to have to win on a regular basis this season if we want to win promotion.
"There has to be that real consistency about us."
