Schwarzer to break Wilf's record

The big Aussie will gain his 27th cap while playing for Boro, in a total of 32. It will break the 52 year old record set by the great Wilf Mannion.

The game against Germany tonight is their first group game in the Confederations Cup. The Socceroo's also have games against Argentina (Sat 18th) and Tunisia (Tue 21st).

If they are successful in the group stage (top 2) they will progress to the semi-final stage.

Apologies for the inaccuracy of the previous article which stated that Schwarzer had played one game less. This was due to confusion over a Non-A game and a game being missing from his career details, on his official website, www.markschwarzer.com
