Same Old Excuses From Clueless Southgate!

Gareth Southgate: "We have a massive game next week and we've got our fans behind us there and it gives us a more realistic chance of getting something.

"We are capable, we've done it in the past - we've said we've got to pick some big results up. Results went for us yesterday so we're still in with a chance but we realise we've got it all to do.

"We didn't do enough to get anything from the game, there's no question - you probably need to score first to get a result here I think but we weren't able to do that and once they scored it was fairly comfortable for them.

"We did okay, but okay is not enough when you come to somewhere like this.

"To get the result, if you get a half-chance you have got to take it.

"You have got to be outstanding because they are a top quality team, but I cannot fault my players' commitment.

"We know everybody else is looking over their shoulder, so we have got to win.

"We are probably underdogs for the four matches we have coming up, but we are still in there fighting."
