Middlesbrough midfielder Barry Robson is confident the club's summer arrivals can help fuel a new promotion push. Manager Gordon Strachan has wasted no time in strengthening his squad this summer with Andy Halliday, Nicky Bailey, Stephen McManus, Kris Boyd and Kevin Thomson already on board, and 31-year-old Celtic old boy Robson knows exactly what to expect from former Old Firm foes Boyd and Thomson in particular. He told the club's official website: "I know Kevin and Kris well. I have played with them for Scotland and I have played against them in a few Old Firm encounters. "They are good players. They are hungry, they want success and I think they will do well in this league. "We need players who are all going to work for each other, we need to work hard as a team and fight for every ball and if we do that, I am sure we have got a chance of doing well in the league. "But that's the only way we can, by working hard for each other and playing as a team and a unit, and hopefully we can do that."
