A very young and inexperienced side was sent to the Midlands this evening but they returned with all three points after a 2-0 victory.
After a poor first half the game came to life with the Blues creating a host of chances, only to be denied by Boro keeper David Knight. So it was against the run of play when Boro took the lead.
With an hour gone Boro broke and Seb Hines was on hand to score with a header. Birmingham continued to press for an equaliser but paid the penalty when Danny Graham broke to wrap up the points in the dying minutes.
