Mark Yeates: “I felt comfortable, I got on the ball and it’s obviously a nice feeling for the lads to come away with a win.
“It’s been great at Boro so far.
“Everything’s positive and things that went on last season have gone, everyone has got that out of their mind. To be honest there’s a really good atmosphere around the place so it’s been great.
“It’s a good bunch of lads and they are all young boys so it’s helped me settle in straight away, it’s been brilliant.
“I think every player has got to have goals and targets.
“The main thing for me is to make sure I’m in that starting XI come the start of the season. I’ve got goals in my head, I scored quite a few last season and hopefully I can do the same this season.
“But the main goal for everyone is to make sure we’re pushing to get up into the Premier League by the end of the season. I don’t think there’s any doubt that there’s ability here, you can see that at training - there’s tons of ability in the squad.”
