He needed five stitches in his left eyebrow on the touchline at the Riverside on Saturday before carrying on heavily bandaged.
Emanuel Pogatetz: “I am getting embarrassed about it now.
“At the moment it seems every time I get hit I start bleeding and have to come off
“Hopefully it will stop in the near future so I can play a full 90 minutes without getting stitches.
“The mask was fine. I’ve been wearing it in training and I’m used to it now.
“Besides, once the game starts I don’t even notice it. It doesn’t stop me from doing anything I normally do.
“The doctors said six weeks for my bones to heal so I will need to wear it for the next few games but it is no problem.”
