The following players have decisions to make this close season and some may not play for Boro again.
Franck Queudrue - The frenchman has been on loan from Lens since October and Boro hope to tie up a permanent deal before the season ends. He is valued at £2-3m. (Reggie's verdict - buy)
Benito Carbone - Has spent the last couple of months on loan from Bradford and has hinted he would like to end his playing days with Boro, but his wages of £40,000 a week could be the stumbling block, he would have to take a wage cut if he wants a long term deal. (Reggie's verdict - let him go)
Paul Ince - Has been a wonder in his three years at the Riverside and worth every penny of the £1m Boro paid Liverpool for him. Will move on if a new deal is not right for him, I would hate to see him move to another Premiership club. (Reggie's verdict - offer him what he wants)
Robbie Mustoe - Boro's longest serving player who has been playing in the engine room for over ten years and still keeps going. Must be worth a new contract. (Reggie's verdict - keep him)
Michael Debeve - Has been on loan for the last month or so and has done well when given the opportunity. Looks unorthodox but could be a useful squad player if we lose Ince and/or Mustoe. (Reggie's verdict - keep him)
Dean Gordon - After an impressive start at Boro a serious injury cost him his place and has only been a fringe player since. Has never regained the form that won him several U-21 caps at Crystal Palace. Had a spell on loan at Cardiff but failed to impress, Gillingham are interested but could be put off by his wage demands. (Reggie's verdict - let him go)
Mark Summerbell - Would like to sign a permanent deal with Portsmouth where he has been on loan for the last couple of months. Out of favour with Steve McClaren after an internal disciplinary matter, just after Christmas. (Reggie's verdict - get rid)
Jason Gavin - Rumoured to be unhappy with his lack of first team opportunities but has not regained his confidence after a couple of stinkers early this year. Is still young and could be one for the future. (Reggie's verdict - keep him)
Joseph-Desire Job - A complete flop since his move from France at the beginning of last season. Back in France now on loan with Metz, hope he stays there. (Reggie's verdict - get rid)
Marlon Beresford - Has been on loan at Burnley for a long time this season, although was recalled towards the end of the season as cover. is unlikely to get a chance with Mark Schwarzer and Mark Crossley battling for the number one jersey. (Reggie's verdict - let him go)
Next week we will look at the long list of Boro 'targets' which is increasing day-by-day.
