Nemeth misses Slovakia game

The Boro striker injured his ankle shortly after coming on as substitute against Liverpool on Saturday. Being the last substitue he was forced to play on with his injury. He will be out of action for about three weeks.

Stewart Downing played for England U-21's tonight in a friendly against Denmark. He played the first half before being substituted, as manager Peter Taylor made six changes. Boro's Andrew Taylor who is currently on loan at Bradford was an unused substitute.

For the record England won 1-0 thanks to a last minute goal from ex-Newcastle midfielder Darren Ambrose.
