Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray will keep an eye on the players Gordon Strachan sent out on loan as he assesses his squad. The Teessiders have four men out on temporary deals - Marvin Emnes at Swansea for a month, Andrew Taylor and Jonathan Grounds at Watford and Hibernian respectively until January and Didier Digard at Nice for the season - and in an ideal world Mowbray would like to run the rule over them all. However, he will have to maintain a watching brief for now and that is exactly what he intends to do. He told the club's official website: "I would like to take a look at all of them and assess them to be fair to the whole squad. "But Marvin is on a 28-day loan and we can't bring him back before that while Watford aren't going to agree to Andrew Taylor coming back so it is what it is. "It's only fair to the players who are out on loan to bring them back and assess them. "We will certainly send someone out to have them watched where they are but I would prefer to have them back here."
