Mido made a 45-minute cameo on Saturday - his first outing since the tail end of November - but is he playing for his Boro future, or is he already set for the JJB Stadium?

Gareth Southgate (talking to the Evening Gazette): "I was pleased with the impact that Mido made. That was what we needed.

"It is just a shame we couldn't make better use of it, because the second goal killed the momentum we created."
