Boro quickly sold out of tickets for the big game with United (5.30pm ko), who are currently two points and one position above Steve McClaren’s high-flying side.
However, tickets remain available for their crucial home match with Norwich City on December 28, although sales are going well, tickets are still available for all areas of the Riverside Stadium for the game which kicks-off at 3pm.
Tickets, which are priced from £23 for adults and from £14 for those aged under 16 or over 65, are available from the main ticket office or by calling 0870 421 1986.
Main ticket office opening times: December 22-23 9.30am to 5pm; Christmas Eve 9.30am to 1pm; Christmas Day and Boxing Day Closed; December 27 10am to 4pm; December 28 10am to 3pm.
Meanwhile, the ticket facility at MFC Retail in Captain Cook Square, Middlesbrough, is opening from 9.30am until 5pm on December 23 and from 9.30am to 1pm on Christmas Eve. It is closed on all other days over the next week.
