Monsieur Hamer has been on the FIFA list since 1993 and has a host of UEFA games and international games under his belt, including two England World Cup qualifiers against Albania (2001) and Azerbaijan (2004).
The 40-year-old was at the 2001 FIFA World Youth Championship in Argentina and he was also at EURO 2004 in Portugal. The French, English and German speaking referee could be selected as one of the referees for this summers World Cup in Germany.
His assistants are Francis Crelo (Luxembourg) and Jean-Philippe Izzo (France), while the fourth official is Luc Wilmes (Luxembourg).
