Andre Marriner (West Midlands)
b. 1/1/1971
Mr Marriner officiates in only his second ever Boro game, the first being the 3-2 defeat at home to Wigan in January.
At 35-years-old he is one of the younger referees on the circuit today and as such he is fairly inexperienced at this level, having refereed less than a dozen Premier League games before.
He refereed the Conference Play-off Final in 2003 and was appointed to the Football League list in the same year. He handled a few Premier League games last season and has done the same this season. His bread and butter is still the Football League.
Last season he officiated in a total of 37 games, booking 80 players and sending off 10. So far this season, in 24 games, he has booked 73 players and sent off 7.
