Middlesbrough have completed the signing of Stephen McManus on a three-year deal from Celtic. The 27-year-old, who made 16 appearances during a successful loan spell with Boro last season, passed a medical at the Riverside on Monday, and the two clubs and the player have since agreed terms over the move. McManus, who scored 17 goals in 150 league games for Celtic, becomes manager Gordon Strachan's fourth summer signing following the earlier arrivals of Andy Halliday, Kris Boyd and Nicky Bailey.
