Mac signs until 2009

The Boro boss finally signed a four year deal worth £1.5m a year yesterday, months after the deal was originally agreed with Boro chairman Steve Gidson.

Despite media speculation there is no clause that allows McClaren to take the England job but chairman said that it would be an honour for Boro to provide the next England manager and he would not stop McClaren leaving if the opportunity arose.
