Latest on the Reserves start to the season

The reserves won 2-0 at Newcastle on Tuesday night with goals from Seb Hines in the first half and Ben Hutchinson near the end of the game.

Egyptian signing Shawky made his first start in a Boro shirt and Mendieta had another run out.

In the season opener at the Riverside, 4/9, there was a 1-1 draw with Liverpool with Craddock getting his first of the season.
