Lamb on a mission

Lamb will meet with Althletico Madrid officials and Juninho's father/agent Oswaldo Giroldo sometime this week. Hopefully with all three parties sat around the same table a deal can, once and for all, be sorted.

Athletico have accepted Boro's offer of around £6m and are desperate for the cash, while the Juninho camp are still deciding over Boro's latest 'take it or leave it' offer.

It would appear that Juninho would be happy to stay in Spain but the Spanish club are in financial difficulties and see the deal as a way out. No other clubs have come in with offers, so it is make your mind up time for the diminutive Brazilian.

Whatever the outcome we will hopefully know by the end of the week.
