Middlesbrough winger Tarmo Kink believes the club's ambitions for Premier League promotion match his own following his move to Teesside.Kink, 24, joined Boro from Hungarian side Gyori ETO in July and the Estonia international is confident he can cope with the expectations at the Riverside.
"In Hungary I was at an ambitious club that wanted top three every season so it's normal," Kink told BBC Tees.
"I like that the club has ambition, this is a chance for me and the club."
Kink arrived at Middlesbrough with extensive European experience from his spell at Gyori, as well as Russian side Spartak Moscow and domestic outfit Levadia Tallinn.
However the prospect of working with boss Gordon Strachan was enough to persuade the winger to leave the Europa League qualifiers for a move to English football's second tier, coupled with the prospect of playing alongside such names as Kris Boyd, Scott McDonald and Gary O'Neil.
"He was most important because he was very positive with me, and said that he wanted to see me at Middlesbrough," Kink added.
"The big names here were very friendly, but I need time to get used to everything.
"Yesterday was my first training session, and then again today, and everything is getting better and better every day."
