The World Cup winning Brazilian still has to respond to Boro's latest offer, which reports suggest, is a slight increase over his current salary at Athletico Madrid.
His future at Athletico seems to increasingly uncertain as the Spanish club look for funds to bring in new blood. With his contract due to expire at the end of next season president Jesus Gil is keen to cash in now.
Gil insisted "If Juninho does not want to change from the Spanish Liga, he knows what the conditions are here. We are not going to give him everthing he wants and he cannot expect to have it all his own way."
Juninho's agent and father Oswaldo Giroldo is disappointed that the Boro's bid is the only one on the table at the moment, epecially after his success in the World Cup. But time is running out and a decision must be made soon to bring the matter to a conclusion.
