Izzet's not coming

The Boro boss revealed today that the Leicester player phoned him last night to turn down boro's offer. "The Muzzy Izzet deal, as far as I'm aware, is dead in the water," he said.

You can't say it wasn't expected, if he wanted to come he would have said so on Thursday, the fact that he went away to think about it means he had doubt in his mind.

We need players who want to play for Boro, so his decision to stay at Leicester is no skin off our nose's. McClaren will now widen his search to bring in new talent.
