Middlesbrough FC has today advised supporters that tickets for next week’s UEFA Cup group game with Egaleo will not be on sale tomorrow (Thursday), as had been planned.
Boro’s allocation of 1,900 tickets for the tie were due to go on general sale from the Riverside’s North Stand ticket office at 9.30am tomorrow, but Egaleo have now informed MFC that they cannot provide the tickets in time.
The tickets, priced £35 each, will be made available as soon as Boro receive them from the Athens-based club, though it is anticipated it could be Monday before they now go on sale.
Boro’s Communications Manager Dave Allan said: “We apologise to our supporters for any inconvenience this delay may cause.
“We are making every effort to ensure the tickets are supplied at the earliest possible opportunity. Given that the game takes place next Thursday, we hope this will be in the very near future.”
Supporters are advised to check the club’s official website at mfc.co.uk or 24-hour ticket hotline on 0870 421 1986 for up-to-date information on the tickets.
The tickets are priced £35 each and payment must be accompanied by a fully completed application form, available from the club or from mfc.co.uk. Supporters can apply by post by writing to Egaleo Tickets, Middlesbrough FC, Riverside Stadium, TS3 6RS.
Supporters can also apply to travel on the club’s official flight to Athens using the application form.
