Boro have announced ticket and travel details for their opening UEFA Cup group game away to Grasshoppers of Zurich, on Thursday October 20 (KO to be confirmed).
Boro have received an initial allocation of 2,024 tickets, priced £25 each (no concessions). A further allocation of 1,200 tickets is available if required.
Ticket applications are now being accepted, using a form available from mfc.co.uk or from the Riverside’s main ticket office.
Fans interested in travelling to the game as part of the club’s official fans’ flight can register their interest now by leaving their name, address, passport number and season ticket patron number with MFC Travel in Captain Cook Square, Middlesbrough, by calling the TravelCare Sports hotline on 0870 112 0123 or by visiting their website at www.travelcaresports.com.
Ticket application forms are also available to those supporters who wish to make their own travel arrangements.
Graham Fordy, Boro’s Head of Commercial, said: “We’re delighted to have secured a generous ticket allocation for our opening group game. If necessary, we plan to give our longest serving season ticket holders priority on tickets, using the patron number prefixing season ticket numbers as a guide, but we are confident our allocation will satisfy demand.
“As with last season, we strongly advise supporters wanting to attend the away games not to book their travel arrangements before they have ensured that they have actually been successful in their ticket application.
“They risk committing themselves to non-refundable travel expenses only to find they have not been able to purchase a ticket for the game.
Tickets are also on sale for Boro's trip to Everton in the Carling Cup on Wednesday 26th October, kick-off 8pm. They are very reasonably priced at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.
