Middlesbrough Football Club is urging supporters who do not yet have a ticket for tonights UEFA Cup first round, first leg with Banik Ostrava to arrive at least an hour before kick-off to avoid lengthy queues.
A large crowd is expected for Boro’s first venture into Europe. Supporters are strongly advised to buy tickets in advance to avoid long queues on the night. Tickets are selling steadily but there are still several thousands available in most areas of the stadium.
Tickets will be available from the main Riverside Stadium ticket office from 9.30am until 6pm tonight, after which ticket offices in the north, east and south stands will be open. Supporters should go to whichever ticket office is closest to the stand they want to sit in.
Safety Officer Ron Turnbull says: “Our message is clear - be early. Supporters should buy their tickets as early as possible and allow themselves plenty of time to get to the stadium.
