George escapes. . . . .again

The FA issued a statement today that cleared Boateng from any wrong-doing in the game at Stamford Bridge earlier this month.

the statement read "We can confirm that no action will be taken against Middlesbrough's George Boateng further to the Premier League fixture between Chelsea and Middlesbrough on Saturday 16th November."

"This follows confirmation from match referee Phil Dowd that he did see a challenge made by George Boateng on Gianfranco Zola and decided no action was merited."

It is the second time Boro's influential midfielder has been cleared by the FA recently, following accusations of a spitting incident at the Riverside last month against Leeds.
