Although Boro have not been attracting the fans through the turnstiles during this seasons cup run, they are making a healthy profit from TV deals and FA prize money, which easily offsets the low attendances.

The third round reaped in £130k, thats £40k (x2) for TV highlights and £50k for eventual victory over Wimbledon.

The fourth round was much better with the club earning £340k, £265k for live TV broadcast and £75k for victory over Manchester United.

The fifth round saw a reduction down to £190k, just £40k for the TV highlights and £150k for victory over Blackburn.

Boro are already guaranteed £265k for live TV coverage of Sundays quarter final and can earn another £400k if they beat Everton.

There is no money on offer for the semi-finals but if they should reach Cardiff they will be guaranteed another £1m, with the winners picking up a cheque for £2m.

So in total, this season, they have earned £925k.
