The game is due to be played on June 11th and it will be the first time that a full England international has been played on Teesside for over 60 years.
Tickets for the showdown with Szilard Nemeth's Slovakia were due to go on sale at 10am on Easter Sunday but the FA have announced that the sale of tickets will be delayed.
There was no official explaination from the FA, but it is thought that they will wait to see the outcome of UEFA's disciplinary panel on May 1st.
The hearing follows a complaint by the Turkish FA, regarding rascist chanting, at the recent Euro 2004 qualifier at the Stadium of Shite. England could be punished by playing the Slovakia game behind closed doors.
