Coops in talks

The 36-year-old is negotiating an extension to his current contract that will keep him Boro until the end of next season.

With Ugo Ehiogu and David Murphy due to miss the start of the season with injury and Franck Queudrue suspended for five games Coops could well find himself starting his thirteenth season with Boro.
