As in the previous win at Darlington (also 2-0) the Boro turned up with a very young group of players.
Only two of the 18-man squad had any real term first team experience (both recently signed up), Euell and Rochemback. Although new signing Luke Young was included.
Given that Rochemback is suspended for the first three games of this season it is highly probable that none of these players are in Southgate's mind to start the first game of the 2007/08 campaign (aside from Young).
Interesting to see the re-apperance of last summer's young signing Goulon.
