Campbell joins Lennie at Cardiff

Campbell follows Dean Gordon, who had an unsuccessful loan period with the Bluebirds at the end of last year. He could make his debut at Huddersfield tomorrow night.

Mark Summerbell is also close to agreeing a loan deal with Carlisle United who hope to take him for a months loan.

On the incoming front, Boro hope to finalise a loan deal with French club Lens for the services of midfielder Mickael Debeve, who has impressed during a trial period.

If the deal is pushed through he could be available for Boro's game against Leicester on Saturday, although the 31-year-old is lacking match fitness and may not seriously come into the reckoning just yet.
