After seeing Middlesbrough's last win at Old Trafford seated in the middle of Man Utd fans my joy had to be constrained. Last night though there was no holding it back.
Boro started brightly and with Boro fans still tricling into the ground after kick-off the away support began to vocalise itself.
two Boro goals at the opposite end of the ground was unbelievable, only for the euphoria to be broken by a typical stoppage time first half goal.
United struck back but Boro always looked lively and menacing, with Downing, Job and Juninho all taunting the United defence.
The inevitable happened, on the hour as United equalised. The Boro spirit was not to be crushed and right in front of the travelling support Job did the job and sent the Boro crowd wild.
High of the night: Job's winner
Low of the night: Some empty seats in the away end. Why Boro fans?
