Having spent over a month on loan at Loftus Road the Stockton-born centre back was recalled to cover for Boro's injury hit back line.
The two clubs then agreed a fee for Davies to move south permanently, but he failed to agree personal terms and decided to stay at Boro.
QPR have now compromised and taken him back on-loan until the end of the season.
