Boro Stars Roll Off The Conveyor Belt!

FOUR of Boro's talented Academy prospects have been called into the England Under-17 squad, while a fifth is on standby.

Jake Fowler is joined in the squad by David Atkinson, Bruno Pilatos and Ben Gibson, while Luke Williams is also hoping for a call-up.

They will travel with the national under-17 squad to take part in the Nordic Championship in Trondheim, Norway, on July 23.

David Parnaby (Academy manager): "It's a great credit to the boys themselves and to their parents as well.

"But I've also got to pay tribute to everyone who has been involved with then throughout their development, both from a technical and a football perspective.

"We're very proud of the Three Lions at Middlesbrough Football Club and it gives us great pleasure to have so many from one age group representing their country.

"All five are fine young gentlemen who I know will represent their club in a very professional manner.

"We hope they do well and that England go on and win the tournament."

England face games against Denmark on July 28, Faroe Islands on July 29 and Norway on July 31.
