Johnston, who has been mainly on the fringes at Boro has so far made 15 appearences for his country. They will play Denmark on August 21st in a friendly and will then play the Faroes on 7th September.
Meanwhile, Boro today denied reports linking them with a move for Leicesters Jacob Laursen, with Steve McClaren calling the reports "total rubbish"
