He says he wants to play in the Premier League next season, and with relegation looking likely for Boro, it seems he won't be coming to the Riverside.

Steven Fletcher: "I would not turn down a big move to a big club elsewhere but my priority is to go to England as it is meant to be the best league in the world.

"I'd love to see if I could do it down there.

"If I got an offer from a good club and I felt it was the right place to go I'd sit down and think about it but if that does not happen I'll be a Hibs player for another year.

"I'm only 22 and I have a long career ahead of me."
