Colin Cooper apart, a young and inexperienced side saw off Wolves Reserves with a narrow 1-0 win in bitterly cold conditions last night.
The Reserves were without top scorer Danny Graham who joined Derby last week on a months loan.
After creating the majority of the games chances Boro finally made the breakthrough in the 75th minute, when Tom Craddock scored from close range, after the Wolves defence failed to clear an Adam Johnson cross.
