Caretaker Middlesbrough boss Steve Agnew is urging his shell-shocked players to shake off the shackles to revive their season. Agnew took charge for Tuesday night's 1-0 npower Championship defeat at Nottingham Forest following Gordon Strachan's departure, and will remain at the helm for Saturday's trip to Norwich. He told the club's official website: "It's up to myself and Proc [Under-18s coach Mark Proctor] to work hard with the players over the next couple of days in a way that will give them belief that we can go to Norwich on Saturday and get something. "We will work with them on the training ground and get over to them how we want them to play in an entertaining style and with more freedom, and hopefully that will bring with it more of a goal threat. "Being more fluent in possession is the key to breaking teams down. "The players are an honest bunch and they know that we haven't made a good start to the season, and that performances haven't been up to standard. That is obvious given the number of points we have."
