Caretaker boss Steve Agnew has admitted Middlesbrough are lacking pace and width as they attempt to fight their way up the npower Championship table. The Teessiders slipped into the bottom three as a result of Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Norwich, their third on the trot and fifth in six league outings. Agnew, who was asked to take temporary charge following Gordon Strachan's departure last Monday, has been pleased with what the players have shown he and coach Mark Proctor to date but has identified crucial missing ingredients. He told the club's official website: "The players have worked really hard to take on board what myself and Proc have asked them to take on. "But in my opinion, we are lacking real width and real pace."
