Steve Agnew remains coy on whether he would like to be considered for the Middlesbrough job on a permanent basis. The caretaker boss quoted chairman Steve Gibson's statement that he would "stay in charge of first-team affairs for the foreseeable future" following Gordon Strachan's departure. Agnew also told the players they have to take responsibility for Boro's predicament. "They feel the performances have not been up to standard which is obvious with the points we have got," he said. "The lads were brought in by Gordon so they have taken responsibility. "
